Fernando is a pioneer in Content Marketing. He started his first newsletter in 1989 – before the term “content marketing” even existed – as the editor of the newsletter for the Mexican Student’s Association at the University of California, Davis.
Then in 1998, together with his good buddy Gerardo Dada, he started Latin IT Marketing, a newsletter for U.S. software manufacturers to teach them how to export to the Latin American markets.
Then in 2009, when the Great Recession devastated the U.S. economy, he re-started Latin IT Marketing as a blog (after getting laid off from the software company he was working for), this time writing in Spanish to help companies from Latin America learn how to export to the U.S. market.

Fast forward to today, and Fernando is still at it: building WordPress websites, writing content online, and enjoying his kids, training for half-marathons, and traveling back and forth between the U.S. and Mexico.
He was born in New York City, and has lived in Mexico City, London, Long Beach, California, Long Island, Uruapan, Mexico, and Austin, TX.
He is the father of four children, brother of one sister, son of a wonderful mother and father.
